...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...
The Flood Watch for portions of New Jersey and Pennsylvania has
been cancelled.
The moderate to heavy rain has ended and has transitioned to
mainly snow.
While pockets of low-lying and poor drainage flooding could still
exist through the afternoon hours, with the transition to snow,
the threat of this type of flooding overall, has diminished.
The one to two inches of rain that fell last night and this
morning, before the transition to snow, still is expected to run
off into area rivers. Rises are still expected tonight and into
the weekend. But because we have seen a transition to snow, the
threat of river flooding has also diminished.
If you live in flood prone areas across the Passaic and Raritan
basins, continue to monitor river forecasts on out AHPS site
through the weekend.
