...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
845 AM EDT FOR SOUTHERN HUNTERDON...MONTGOMERY...NORTHWESTERN BUCKS
AND NORTHEASTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 635 AM EDT, the heaviest rain has moved out of the region.
However spotter reports indicate over two inches of rain have fallen
over parts of the region and rises on small streams can be expected
to continue into early this morning. In addition, there may continue
to be areas of standing water on roadways and in low lying areas.
For this reason, the Flood Advisory remains in effect.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Norristown, Pottstown, Phoenixville, Lansdale, West Norriton, East
Norriton, Quakertown, Perkasie, Doylestown, Byram, Souderton,
Bedminster, Collegeville, Royersford, Chalfont, Tinicum, Trappe,
Hatfield, New Hope and Dublin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
