...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT LEHIGH...SOUTHEASTERN
CARBON...SOUTH CENTRAL MONROE AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 650 PM EDT, a cluster of strong thunderstorms was over Palmerton,
or near Lehighton, moving east at 35 mph.

Winds up to 50 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Allentown, Lehighton, Bethlehem, Northampton, Hellertown, Nazareth,
Palmerton, Bangor, Jim Thorpe, Slatington, Pen Argyl, Wind Gap, Bath,
Walnutport, Belfast, Tatamy, Steuben, Neffs, Coffeetown and New
Tripoli.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
