...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE
COUNTY...

At 305 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Middletown,
moving east at 15 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern New
Castle County, including the following locations... Townsend, Odessa
and Chambersville.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is also occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
