At 728 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from North Brunswick Township to Shamong.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
Winds up to 45 mph, pea size hail and brief heavy downpours are
possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include...
Toms River, New Brunswick, Long Branch, Asbury Park, Somerset,
Lakewood, Middletown, Old Bridge, Jackson, Howell, East Brunswick,
Sayreville, North Brunswick, Marlboro, Manalapan, Barnegat, Tinton
Falls, Holmdel, Red Bank and Beachwood.
Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
