...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN COUNTY...

At 702 PM EDT, minor flooding was reported in Surf City and Ship
Bottom due to the heavy rain that had fallen since mid afternoon.
Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 2.5 to 3.5 inches
of rainfall in the area.

One last shower was moving through the area early this evening but
additional rainfall amounts will be less than one-quarter inch as
its movement was much faster than earlier storms. However, flooding
in poor drainage areas will continue.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Surf City, Ship Bottom, Beach Haven West and Manahawkin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
