...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN COUNTY...

At 545 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 2
to 3 inches of rain had fallen late this afternoon due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Surf City, Beach Haven West, Stafford Township, Eagleswood Township
and Manahawkin.

The potential for additional heavy rain is quickly diminishing as
thunderstorms have weakened in the last half hour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
areas and low lying spots.
