...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN SOMERSET AND
NORTHEASTERN MIDDLESEX COUNTIES...

At 427 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Edison, or near
Plainfield, moving northeast at 20 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph and half inch hail are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, East
Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick, Carteret, Middlesex, Bound
Brook, Manville, Millstone, Colonia, North Brunswick Township,
Society Hill, Woodbridge, South Plainfield, North Plainfield and
South River.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
