CASTLE...NORTHEASTERN CECIL...WESTERN SALEM...WEST CENTRAL
GLOUCESTER...SOUTH CENTRAL CHESTER AND SOUTHWESTERN DELAWARE
COUNTIES...

At 523 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of moderate to heavy
rain associated with showers moving across the advisory area. This
will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. One to one and a
half inches of rain has already fallen in some areas with additional
rainfall expected.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, Elkton, Chester, Pennsville, Carneys
Point, Swarthmore, Elsmere, Kennett Square, New Castle, Penns Grove,
Salem, West Grove, Delaware City, Newport, Arden, Stanton, Glasgow
and Talleyville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
