The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
East central Morris County in northern New Jersey...
* Until 800 PM EDT.
* At 356 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated an area of moderate to
heavy rain associated with showers moving across the advisory
area. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to one inch of rain has already fallen in some areas with
additional rainfall expected.
* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
East Hanover, Lincoln Park, Kinnelon, Boonton, Butler, Riverdale,
Parsippany, Pequannock Township and Hanover Township.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
