...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN CECIL COUNTY...

At 952 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
that earlier showers and thunderstorms produced up to 4 inches of
rain. This is resulting in flooding. The Big Elk Creek in Elk Mills
remains above flood stage.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Elkton, Calvert, North East, Charlestown, Zion, Blake, Barksdale,
Lombard, Andora, Pleasant Hill, Cherry Hill, Fair Hill, Glen
Westover, Bay View and Appleton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
