...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN NEW
CASTLE...CECIL AND SOUTHWESTERN CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 444 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Wakefield to near Charlestown to
near Kennedyville. Movement was north at 30 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Elkton, Calvert, Coatesville, Downingtown, Kennett Square,
Oxford, Parkesburg, North East, West Grove, Rising Sun, Charlestown,
Cecilton, Glen Roy, Blake, Glasgow, Bohemias Mills, Mount Vernon,
Marshallton and Bay View.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
