...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT MORRIS...SOUTHEASTERN SUSSEX AND
NORTH CENTRAL SOMERSET COUNTIES...

At 145 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Dover, or 8
miles northwest of Morristown, moving east at 35 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Morristown, Dover, Madison, Hopatcong, Florham Park, East Hanover,
Lincoln Park, Kinnelon, Boonton, Butler, Wharton, Rockaway, Morris
Plains, Mount Arlington, Franklin, Mendham, Mountain Lakes,
Riverdale, Peapack And Gladstone and Ogdensburg.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
