...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM EDT FOR SUSSEX
COUNTY...
At 1221 AM EDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain from
earlier thunderstorms that will cause minor flooding. Up to two
inches of rain have already fallen. Though the heaviest rain has
moved out of the advisory area for now, it will take time for the
runoff to recede. Additional showers and thunderstorms may move in
later tonight.
Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Port Jervis, Montague, Franklin, Hamburg, Ogdensburg, Sussex,
Branchville, High Point, Vernon Valley, Pellettown, Crandon Lakes,
Highland Lake, Hainesville and Upper Greenwood Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
