...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN COUNTY...

At 228 PM EDT, Doppler Radar and automated rain gauges indicated
between 1.5 to around 2 inches of rain had fallen over the past
couple hours. A mesonet site located in Ship Bottom reported 1.77
inches of rainfall.

While the thunderstorms that caused the minor flooding have moved
offshore, the rain that has already fallen combined with this
afternoon's high tide will make the water slow to recede in some
areas.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Barnegat, Tuckerton, Surf City, Beach Haven West, Manahawkin and
Ocean Acres.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
