...AN AREA OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SUSSEX...NORTHERN
WARREN...NORTHEASTERN CARBON...MONROE AND NORTHERN NORTHAMPTON
COUNTIES...

At 601 PM EDT, a cluster of strong thunderstorms are moving through
Carbon and Monroe counties in eastern Pennsylvania and Sussex County
in northwest New Jersey. These storms are nearly stationary.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Port Jervis, Newton, Montague, Mount Pocono, East Stroudsburg,
Tobyhanna, Blairstown, Franklin, Pen Argyl, Hamburg, Wind Gap,
Ogdensburg, Sussex, East Bangor, Milford, Branchville, Stormville,
High Point, Werry Lake and Pocono Pines.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
