...BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ACROSS ALL OF COASTAL NEW JERSEY AND
DELAWARE. UNNECESSARY TRAVEL IS HIGHLY DISCOURAGED...

Areas of heavy snow continues across all of coastal New Jersey
and Delaware, with snowfall rates of up to 2 inches per hour. An
intense band of snow as of 940 AM will continue to move into the
coast of New Jersey where snowfall rates could reach 3 inches per
hour. Visibilities will be significantly reduced to one quarter
mile or less due to heavy snow and considerable blowing and
drifting snow. There have been reports of 2 to 3 foot drifts
already across parts of coastal New Jersey.

Northerly winds will gust up to 45 miles per hour, to possibly as
high as 60 miles per hour within a mile of the Atlantic coast.
This is resulting in very dangerous conditions, and a Blizzard
Warning remains in effect.

Snow will taper off during mid or late afternoon but considerable
blowing and drifting snow will continue into tonight.

...AREAS OF HEAVY SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW CONTINUES THIS MORNING...

As of 940 AM, moderate to heavy snow continues which also includes
areas into far northwestern New Jersey.

Snowfall rates will be around 1 inch per hour through early
afternoon, especially as some heavier snow shifts into the area
from the east and northeast. The combination of heavier snow and
gusty winds is resulting in considerable blowing and drifting
snow and roads will be treacherous. Visibilities are reduced to
one half mile or less due to heavier snow and blowing snow. The
snow should taper off to flurries during mid afternoon.

Travel will be severely impacted due to the combination of heavy
snow, strong winds and significantly reduced visibilities. If you
can, postpone travel until mid or late afternoon.
