...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT...
The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of Delaware, northeast Maryland, New Jersey, and
southeast Pennsylvania, including the following areas, in
Delaware, Kent and New Castle. In northeast Maryland,
Caroline, Cecil, Kent MD, Queen Annes, and Talbot. In New
Jersey, Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Camden, Cape May,
Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, Eastern Monmouth,
Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Morris, Northwestern
Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Somerset, Southeastern Burlington,
and Western Monmouth. In southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware,
Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery, Lower Bucks,
Philadelphia, Upper Bucks, Western Chester, and Western
Montgomery.
* Until midnight EST tonight.
* Bands of showers through this evening will be locally heavy at
times. Much of the area has received 1 to 2 inches of rain,
with 3 to 5 inches across parts of northeast Maryland, Delaware
and southern New Jersey. Additional rainfall amounts should be
up to an inch.
* Additional low-lying flooding will occur where concentrated
heavier showers occur. Rainfall amounts should result in some
flooding on area small streams and creeks, and possibly some
rivers through this evening.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
