...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING
THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation is possible. There is the
potential for snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches and ice
accumulations of around one tenth of an inch.
* WHERE...Sussex County in New Jersey and the Pennsylvania
counties of Carbon and Monroe.
* WHEN...Snow is expected to overspread the area from southwest
to northeast around or just after daybreak on Wednesday. The
snow could be heavy at times during the morning and early
afternoon. Snow will likely transition to sleet, then to
freezing rain from south to north on Wednesday afternoon. A
brief change to rain is possible, especially in the valleys,
before the precipitation comes to an end on Wednesday evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel will become difficult on Wednesday.
If you will be driving, prepare for reduced visibility. There
remains some uncertainty regarding the timing of the transition
from snow to a wintry mix. The heaviest of the snowfall is
expected in the elevated terrain.
