...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY
EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a
* Flood Watch for portions of northern Delaware, northeast
Maryland, New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania, including
the following areas, in northern Delaware, New Castle. In
northeast Maryland, Cecil and Kent MD. In New Jersey,
Atlantic, Camden, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland,
Eastern Monmouth, Gloucester, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex,
Morris, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Somerset,
Southeastern Burlington, and Western Monmouth. In southeast
Pennsylvania, Delaware, Eastern Chester, Eastern Montgomery,

Western Montgomery.
* From late tonight through Friday evening
* Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts
possible.
* Periods of moderate to heavy rain will occur from late tonight
through Friday. In the areas of heaviest rainfall, urban and
poor-drainage flooding is expected to occur. Given antecedent
wet conditions across the watch area, sensitive streams and
creeks will also be susceptible to flooding. Some river flooding
is also possible should the heaviest rainfall occur in the
associated basins, with the Passaic and Millstone Rivers most
at risk.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
