...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM EST FOR
NORTHWESTERN BERKS...NORTHWESTERN LEHIGH...CARBON...MONROE AND WEST
CENTRAL NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 1210 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated the moderate to heavy rain
was moving out of the region. Although the widespread rain is coming
to an end, more than three inches fell across portions of the warned
ares. It will take time for this water to drain. As a result, the
flood warning remains in effect.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Lehighton, Mount Pocono, East Stroudsburg, Tobyhanna, Palmerton, Jim
Thorpe, Hamburg, Slatington, Nesquehoning, Womelsdorf, Weatherly,
Newmanstown, Walnutport, Leesport, Shoemakersville, Bernville,
Strausstown, Lenhartsville, Stormville and Neffs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
