...AN AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN AND WINTRY MIX...

An area of moderate to heavy rain was moving across portions of the
area. As this precipitation encounters colder air, some areas are
changing over to a wintry mix of freezing rain, sleet, and snow,
especially for the higher elevations. Be alert for ponding on
roadways in areas of heaviest rainfall, and where the wintry mix
occurs, be alert for slippery conditions.
