The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has extended the

* Flood Advisory for...
  Central Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...

* Until 615 AM EDT.

* At 400 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated up to two inches of rain
  have fallen in the advisory area. Though the heavy rain is moving
  out of the area at this time, runoff problems will likely continue
  for the next few hours.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
  Newton, Hopatcong, Mount Arlington, Franklin, Stanhope, Hamburg,
  Netcong, Ogdensburg, Andover, Lake Mohawk, Greendell, Vernon
  Valley, Highland Lake and Upper Greenwood Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
