SALEM...NORTHWESTERN GLOUCESTER...SOUTHERN CHESTER AND DELAWARE
COUNTIES...

At 233 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that resulted in
up to one inch of rain has moved out of the advised area. This has
resulted in urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.
Minor flooding continues through the overnight.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Wilmington, Newark, Elkton, Calvert, Chester, Pennsville, Yeadon,
Westtown, Carneys Point, Folcroft, Swarthmore, Elsmere, Kennett
Square, New Castle, Penns Grove, Salem, Oxford, North East, West
Grove and Rising Sun.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
