The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flood Warning for Urban Areas and Small Streams in...
  Northeastern Ocean County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 115 AM EDT.

* At 912 PM EDT, the North Branch Metedeconk was still flooding.
  Howell, Wall, Neptune, Lakewood and Brick Township were among the
  hardest hit towns where both radar and automated gauges indicate 5
  to 8 inches of rain fell this morning. Extensive flooding, causing
  damage to homes along the Metedeconk River, was reported in Howell
  Township earlier this afternoon.

Although, the heavy rain has ended, area streams continue to run
high. Ongoing flooding along the Metedeconk will continue into the
overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
