The water may be deeper than you think.

...Forecast flooding increased from Minor to Moderate severity...

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Brandywine Creek At Chadds Ford.
* Until Tuesday evening...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 7:30 PM Monday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 11.5 feet tonight.
  The river will fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 11.8 feet...Brandywine River Museum begins to take on
  water. Route 1 also takes on water.
* Flood history...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.6 feet
  on Dec 5 1993.
