...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM EDT FOR
CENTRAL BERKS COUNTY...

At 641 AM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in
Leesport. State Highway 61 is closed between Indian Manor Drive and
Bellemans Church Road. Though the heaviest rain has temporarily
ended, runoff from earlier storms will continue to cause flash
flooding for the next couple of hours.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Reading, Hamburg, Laureldale, Womelsdorf, Wernersville, Newmanstown,
Leesport, Shoemakersville, Bernville, Strausstown, Fairview Hgts,
Spring Ridge and Centerport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
