...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...
NORTHEASTERN CECIL AND SOUTH CENTRAL CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 423 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over West Grove, or
8 miles north of Newark, moving east at 15 mph.

Locations impacted include...
Newark, Elsmere, Kennett Square, West Grove, Newport, Greenville,
Stanton, North Star, Ladenberg, Pike Creek, Kemblesville, Glen
Westover, Hockessin, Ashland, Appleton, Bear, Avondale, Toughkenamon
and Brookside.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
