...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 1 PM EDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches
with isolated amounts of 6 inches possible in the higher
elevations of northeastern Pennsylvania and northwestern New
Jersey.
* WHERE...Portions of central and northwestern New Jersey and
eastern Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...Precipitation overspreading the area from west to east
between 2 AM and 4 AM will begin as snow in the higher
elevations of northeastern Pennsylvania and northwestern New
Jersey. Elsewhere, precipitation will begin as rain or a
rain/snow mix but transition to wet snow from northwest to
southeast between 3 AM and 6 AM. The snow will be heavy at
times with snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour between
about 4 AM and 9 AM. The snow tapers off from west to east
between 9 AM and 11 AM Monday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on difficult travel conditions,
including during the morning commute on Monday. Expect poor
visibilities below one-half mile at times in heavy snow. Road
conditions will be highly dependent on snowfall rates and
elevation as rates greater than 1 inch per hour and slightly
colder temperatures in the hilly terrain will allow for
untreated roads to become snow covered. High temperatures Monday
afternoon in the 40s will lead to rapid melting.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered roads
and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. The
latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be
obtained by calling 5 1 1.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT TO 1 PM EDT MONDAY...
* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3
inches with the highest amounts generally north and west of
Center City, Philadelphia.
* WHERE...Portions of southwestern New Jersey and southeastern
Pennsylvania.
* WHEN...Rain, possibly mixing in with snow, will overspread the
area from west to east between 2 AM and 4 AM, then transition to
a heavy wet snow from northwest to southeast between 4 AM and 6
AM. There is a potential for sleet to mix in across the southern
and eastern suburbs of Philadelphia. Otherwise, the snow will be
moderate to heavy with snowfall rates of around 1 inch per hour
possible at times between about 5 AM and 8 AM. The snow tapers
off from west to east between 9 AM and 11 AM Monday morning.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on travel delays for the morning
commute with poor visibility below one-half mile at times in
bursts of heavy snow. Road conditions will be highly dependent
on snowfall rates as rates greater than 1 inch per hour could
allow for a slushy accumulation on untreated secondary roads.
High temperatures Monday afternoon in the 40s will lead to rapid
melting.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory for wet snow means periods of wet snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Expect snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
