...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR MINOR FLOODING IN POOR DRAINAGE AREAS
REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM EDT FOR SOUTHEASTERN SUSSEX COUNTY...

At 757 PM EDT, emergency management reported heavy rain causing minor
flooding on Fenwick Island. Route 1 and Lighthouse Road was closed
due to high water. Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
two to three inches of rain has fallen since 530 PM. Overflowing
poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Millsboro, Selbyville, Dagsboro, Millville, Henlopen Acres, Gumboro,
Long Neck, Ocean View, Frankford, South Bethany and Dewey Beach.

Additional rainfall over the area will be less than a half inch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other poor drainage areas is occurring or is
imminent.
