...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT
FOR WEST CENTRAL WARREN...BERKS...LEHIGH...CARBON...SOUTHWESTERN
MONROE AND NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES...

At 517 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Claussville to near Womelsdorf to near Belvidere.
Storms are moving northeast along the line at around 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Allentown, Reading, Easton, Lehighton, Bethlehem, Forks, Wyomissing,
Northampton, Wilson, Nazareth, Palmerton, Bangor, Kutztown, Jim
Thorpe, Hamburg, Slatington, Fleetwood, Sinking Spring, Laureldale
and Pen Argyl.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
