...A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 AM EDT FOR
HUNTERDON...MERCER...MONTGOMERY...BUCKS...PHILADELPHIA AND EASTERN
DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 1232 AM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain across the warned area yesterday with rainfall amounts
generally between 1.5 and 3 inches. Locally higher amounts of 3 to 5
inches were reported near the I-78 corridor in northwestern New
Jersey. Runoff from the heavy rain will cause flooding of roadways,
areas of poor drainage, and small streams and creeks.

Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Philadelphia, Trenton, Camden, Bensalem, Ewing, Norristown, Chester,
Pottstown, Phoenixville, Lansdale, West Norriton, East Norriton,
Princeton, Yeadon, Bristol, Quakertown, Perkasie, Doylestown, Byram
and Conshohocken.

The river gauge along the Neshanic River at Reaville was above flood
stage at 7.2 ft but appears to have crested around midnight.

The Pennypack Creek river gauge in Philadelphia was at 6.9 ft at
1230 AM and could reach flood stage of 7.0 ft overnight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
