...Spotty freezing rain will continue in the higher elevations
through early this afternoon...

Occasional light rain continues this morning. Steadier
precipitation will arrive near midday. Meanwhile, temperatures
are in the lower 30s across the higher terrain in Carbon County.
This will result in occasional freezing rain that should mainly
be confined to ridges above 1000 feet in elevation through early
this afternoon.

Up to a few hundredths of an inch of ice may coat elevated
surfaces such as trees and powerlines in these high elevations. A
few slick spots may develop on untreated roads, especially on
bridges and overpasses. Use caution if traveling today, and
reduce speed in case you encounter an icy patch.

Precipitation may switch back and forth between rain and freezing
rain through tonight in these high elevations as temperatures
hover very close to freezing. However, the highest ridges above
1500 feet in elevation may predominately see freezing rain during
this time. This could lead to locally more significant icing.
