...A MAJOR WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO IMPACT OUR REGION...
.A still intensifying storm near Wallops Island at daybreak will
be astride the New Jersey coast during midday, then off to
southeastern New England this evening. The storm will continue to
produce a nasty mix of hazardous conditions to much of our
region through midday. Blizzard conditions are likely for a few
hours in east central and northeast Pennsylvania as well as
northern quarter of New Jersey, where snowfall rates of 2 to 4
inches per hour are forecast during mid and late morning.

...BLIZZARD WARNING IS CANCELLED...
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for snow and ice, which is in effect until 6 PM EDT
this evening. The Blizzard Warning has been cancelled.
* LOCATIONS...Parts of southeastern Pennsylvania across central
New Jersey.
* HAZARD TYPES...occasionally heavy snow...sleet and freezing rain
along with strong wind to at least 45 mph.
* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow accumulation of 4 to 10 inches, along with
around a tenth or two tenths of an inch of ice.
* TIMING...Heavy wintry precipitation will continue through the
morning and into part of the afternoon. Snowfall rates of one or
two inches per hour are still possible during mid and late
morning when mixed precipitation changes back to all snow. Snow
will diminish considerably during mid afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Snow and ice accumulations will make many roads
treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow and ice on
tree limbs and power lines could produce scattered outages.
Strong winds will lead to blowing snow, reduced visibility,
and additional power outages.
* WINDS...North 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* TEMPERATURES...upper 20s to lower 30s.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow accumulation of 18 to 24 inches, along
with around a trace of ice.
* TIMING...Heavy snow will continue through the morning and into
part of the afternoon. Snowfall rates of three to four inches
per hour are expected for an hour or two between 9 AM and 1 PM.
The snow will diminish considerably late in the day.
* IMPACTS...Snow and ice accumulations will make many roads
treacherous and impassable. The weight of the snow on tree
limbs and power lines could produce isolated outages.
* WINDS...North 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* VISIBILITIES...Frequently one quarter mile or less.
* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 20s.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
This Blizzard Warning means that severe winter weather conditions
are occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds and
poor visibility are likely. This will lead to white-out
conditions making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel if at
