...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTH CENTRAL OCEAN AND MONMOUTH
COUNTIES...

At 259 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Manalapan, or
17 miles south of New Brunswick, moving east at 30 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

Brief downpours will lead to ponding of waters on roadways and low
visibility.

Occasional cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle. There is a threat of lightning
at the beaches with this storm.

Long Branch, Asbury Park, Howell, Marlboro, Manalapan, Tinton Falls,
Holmdel, Red Bank, Highlands, Farmingdale, Allenwood, East Freehold,
