...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN BURLINGTON COUNTIES...

At 606 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Browns Mills to near Wharton State Forest to near
Atsion, moving southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters and public. Trained weather
         spotters. Numerous downed trees and wires have been
         reported in Burlington, Camden and Ocean Counties in
         southern New Jersey has been reported since 500 PM.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Barnegat, Tuckerton, Surf City, Bass River State Forest, New Gretna,
Beach Haven West, Mystic Island, Manahawkin, Ocean Acres and
Waretown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

The strong winds may occur at Long Beach Island a couple of minutes
after the Severe Thunderstorm Warning is set to expire at 515 PM
before quickly moving offshore.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm...and
the storm will affect the beaches. For your safety...immediately move
off the beach and seek shelter indoors.
