...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...CENTRAL MONTGOMERY...CENTRAL CHESTER
AND WESTERN DELAWARE COUNTIES...

At 421 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Downingtown to near Kennett Square to Ladenberg,
moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts may be co9me widespread.

SOURCE...Radar indicated this storm was intensifying.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

These severe storms will be near...
  Downingtown around 425 PM EDT.
  Lionville, Lionville-Marchwood and Marshallton around 430 PM EDT.
  West Chester and Chester Springs around 435 PM EDT.
  Phoenixville, Royersford, Elam and Valley Forge around 440 PM EDT.
  Norristown, West Norriton, East Norriton, Westtown, Collegeville,
  Trappe, Paoli, Cheyney, Concordville and Gradyville around 445 PM
  EDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Exton,
South Coatesville, Modena, Thorndale, Chester Heights, Evansburg,
Malvern, West Goshen, Audubon and Chesterbrook.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
