...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM EDT
FOR NEW CASTLE...NORTHWESTERN CUMBERLAND...SALEM AND NORTHWESTERN
GLOUCESTER COUNTIES...

At 223 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Wilmington Manor to near Middletown, moving east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Newark, Middletown, Pennsville, Carneys Point, Elsmere,
New Castle, Penns Grove, Salem, Woodstown, Alloway, Quinton,
Swedesboro, Delaware City, Newport, Shiloh, Stanton, Glasgow, Bear
and Hancocks Bridge.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to damaging winds...frequent cloud to ground lightning
is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be
struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
