...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 415 AM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN ATLANTIC...NORTHWESTERN CUMBERLAND...SALEM...SOUTHERN
CAMDEN AND GLOUCESTER COUNTIES...
At 1238 AM EDT...Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain were temporarily ending over the warned area. Over three
inches of rain had already fallen in parts of this warned area of
southwest New Jersey.
Bands of heavy showers and thunderstorms were moving northeast from
Maryland and should redevelop over this warning area between 130 AM
and 3 AM. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches should occur in
parts of this warning area between 130 AM and 6 AM.
Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Vineland, Glassboro, Hammonton, Pennsville, Pitman, Clayton, Carneys
Point, Berlin, Salem, Buena, Woodstown, Alloway, Quinton,
Chesilhurst, Newfield, Elmer, Franklinville, Sicklerville, Hancocks
Bridge and Atco.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
