...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE...
NORTHWESTERN KENT COUNTIES IN DELAWARE AND NORTHEASTERN KENT AND
SOUTHEASTERN CECIL COUNTIES IN MARYLAND...

At 325 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Cecilton, or 11
miles southeast of Aberdeen Proving Ground, moving southeast at 20
mph.

Locations impacted include...
Cecilton, Warwick, Sassafras, Massey, Kennedyville, Townsend and
Galena.

These storms will contain gusty winds up to 45 mph, torrential
downpours and occasional cloud to ground lightning.

Locally heavy rainfall will lead to ponding of water on roadways and
poor visibility at times this afternoon. Poor drainage flooding
could also develop.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
