...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN OCEAN AND EASTERN
BURLINGTON COUNTIES...

At 804 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Bass River
State Forest, or 21 miles southwest of Toms River, moving east at 25
mph.

Winds up to 40 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Tuckerton, Surf City, Bass River State Forest, Beach Haven West,
Manahawkin and Ocean Acres.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized poor drainage flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

If you are at the beach, move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember,
lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm.
If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by
lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the beach
in a thunderstorm.
