The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Ocean County in southern New Jersey...
  Southeastern Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 815 PM EDT

* At 720 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Shamong, or
  24 miles east of Gloucester City, moving east at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated and public reported. Between 630 and 700
           PM, numerous trees down were reported in northern Camden
           County.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include...
  Barnegat, Tabernacle, Shamong, Tuckerton, Surf City, Wharton State
  Forest, Atsion, Brookville, Warren Grove, Bass River State Forest,
  Chatsworth, Penn State Forest, Beach Haven West, Ocean Acres and
  Manahawkin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be
struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
poor drainage flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
