...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT SOUTHWESTERN SUSSEX COUNTY...

At 429 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Vienna, or 11
miles northwest of Salisbury, moving east at 20 mph.

Winds up to 45 mph are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Laurel and Delmar.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and will
cause ponding of water or roadways as well as poor visibility. Do
not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may re-intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional
information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
