...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT
FOR SOUTHWESTERN SUSSEX...SOUTHEASTERN TALBOT AND SOUTHERN CAROLINE
COUNTIES...

At 403 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Tanyard to near Windyhill to near University Of
Maryland Center For Environmental Studies, moving southeast at 30
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar and public indicated. This storm has a history of
         producing sporadic wind damage in central and eastern
         portions of Maryland.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Seaford, Federalsburg, Bridgeville, Trappe, Preston, Tanyard,
Harmony, Smithville, Agner, Choptank, Hambleton, Windyhill, Blades
and Bethel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to damaging winds...frequent cloud to ground lightning
is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.
Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close enough to be
struck by lightning.
