...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM EDT FOR
NORTHEASTERN MORRIS COUNTY...
At 722 PM EDT...Doppler radar indicated that the thunderstorms that
produced the torrential rain in Morris County were departing the
eastern part of the county, east of Mountain Lakes. At least one
and one quarter inches of rain fell in an hour near Parsippany.
Radar indicated that up to 2 inches fell in an hour in parts of the
county, especially near Morris Plains and Kinnelon. Flash flooding,
if any, would be in progress now or begin shortly.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Dover, Lincoln Park, Kinnelon, Boonton, Butler, Wharton, Rockaway,
Morris Plains, Mountain Lakes, Riverdale, Victory Gardens,
Parsippany, Pequannock Township, Lake Telemark, Green Pond and White
Meadow Lake.
