The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has extended the

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas for...
  Central Morris County in northern New Jersey...
  Southeastern Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...

* Until 730 PM EDT

* At 616 PM EDT...Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding. Overflowing poor
  drainage areas will result in minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Morristown, Dover, Hopatcong, Boonton, Wharton, Rockaway, Morris
  Plains, Mount Arlington, Mendham, Mountain Lakes, Stanhope, Victory
  Gardens, Succasunna, Succasunna-Kenvil, Parsippany, Lake Telemark,
  Green Pond, White Meadow Lake and Hanover Township.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams...urban areas...highways...streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams...rivers...or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated...or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
