...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT WEST CENTRAL NEW CASTLE...
NORTHEASTERN KENT AND SOUTHEASTERN CECIL COUNTIES...

At 451 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Cecilton, or 10
miles west of Middletown. the storm is nearly stationary.

Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

Torrential rains may also occur with this storm and may lead to
areas of flooding. Do not drive in areas where water covers the
road.

Locations impacted include...
Middletown, Cecilton, Warwick, Sassafras, Cayots, Hollywood Beach,
Bohemias Mills and Galena.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
