...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT FOR CENTRAL
BERKS COUNTY...

At 318 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated scattered very heavy rain due
to scattered thunderstorms and this is expected to continue through
430 PM. this rain can cause minor flooding in parts of the advisory
area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Reading, Wyomissing, Kutztown, Fleetwood, Sinking Spring, Laureldale,
Womelsdorf, Wernersville, Newmanstown, Leesport, Shoemakersville,
Bernville, Lyons, Lenhartsville, Fairview Hgts, Spring Ridge, West
Reading, Centerport, Wyomissing Hills and West Lawn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
