...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN NEW CASTLE AND
NORTHEASTERN KENT COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have weakend. Therefore, the
warning has been cancelled. However heavy rain and gusty winds
remain possible with other storms.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for
southern New Jersey.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 PM EDT
FOR CUMBERLAND...EAST CENTRAL SALEM AND SOUTHERN GLOUCESTER
COUNTIES...

At 435 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near South Vineland to Cedarville to 6 miles west of
Newport, moving southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect damage to
         trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Vineland, Millville, Bridgeton, Cumberland, Buena, Laurel Lake,
Newfield, Greenwich, Newport, Dividing Creek, Fairton, Cedarville,
Port Elizabeth, Fortesque, South Vineland, Rosenhayn and Port Norris.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
