...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN BERKS...
WEST CENTRAL LEHIGH AND SOUTHWESTERN CARBON COUNTIES...

At 407 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from Fountain Springs to near Pine Grove to
near Williamstown. Movement was east at 30 mph.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms...and may cause
ponding on roadways and poor drainage areas. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storm.
Lightning can strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. If you see
lightning or hear thunder seek a safe shelter inside a building or
vehicle.


Locations impacted include...
Hamburg, Womelsdorf, Shoemakersville, Bernville, Strausstown and
Centerport.
